Claudia Kaplan, DDS

Dr. Kaplan graduated from Barnard College and the College of Dental Medicine both colleges of Columbia University. Dr. Kaplan completed her residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at The Roosevelt Hospital of Columbia University.

Dr. Kaplan is an Associate Attending and a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery Division of Dentistry/ Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at New York Presbyterian Weill- Cornell Medical Center and is actively involved in residency education.She is a co- director of the Anesthesia Simulation course for the residents in the Division.

Dr. Kaplan is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Anesthesiology. She served for eight years as a member of the Examination Committee for the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Dr. Kaplan is a Past President of the New York State Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. She has served on several Committees of The American Association of Maxillofacial Surgery including four years as Chair of the Committee on Anesthesia. Dr. Kaplan is a Fellow of the American College of Dentists, the New York Academy of Dentistry, and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology.

Dr. Kaplan practices the full scope of office based Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with a particular interest and expertise in outpatient anesthesia, pathology, and implant surgery.
