Maurice Edwards, DMD
Dr. Edwards is a board certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon who completed his dental training at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Edwards then received his specialty training at the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Program at NYU/Bellevue Hospital Center. Since his completion in 1999 of his residency program, Dr. Edwards has been in private practice in mid-town Manhattan. The practice is located at 30 East 60th Street suite 1401 between Park Ave and Madison Ave.
Dr. Edwards has lectured locally and internationally on The Different Aspects of Implant Dentistry, Dental Emergencies, The Use of Antibiotics in Dentistry, Surgical Flaps of the Oral and Maxillofacial Regions, Biopsy Techniques and The Current Advances in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Edwards has also given testimony as an expert witness, only in the defense of our colleagues in malpractice cases.
The office of Dr. Edwards is capable of providing all aspects of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery including but not limited to Implants, Extractions, Impacted Wisdom Teeth, Procedures under I.V. Sedation, Corrective Jaw Surgery (from treatment planning to surgery), Apicoectomies, Bone Re-contouring, Conservative TMD Treatment, Oral Pathology, and General Medical Questions (related to the treatment of the dental patient).
Dr. Edwards prides himself in maintaining open lines of communication between the patient, the referring practice and our office. Our referring doctors enjoy continuous detailed feedback about the progress of their patients and never hesitate to call with questions or concerns about the direction, speed or efficiency of the treatment rendered by our practice. Our main goal is to generate a positive surgical experience for the patient concluding with the patient’s appreciation for you referring them to our office.
