Stuart Super, DMD

Dr. Stuart Super, an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, has specialized in the treatment of jaw deformities for over 30 years.  Educated at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Super trained at the Mount Sinai Hospital, New York. He took additional training in Cranio-Facial Surgery at Centers in France and England, where this surgery was pioneered.

Since that experience, Dr. Super has been an educator as well as clinician, having taught at both the University of Pennsylvania, and for the last 25 years at New York University. In addition, he served as Program Director of the Advanced Education Training program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Bellevue Hospital Center, New York. He is an Associate Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at New York University College of Dentistry and has been the Director of the Center for Dentofacial Deformities and Corrective Jaw Surgery and the International Program for Corrective Jaw Surgery. Currently, Dr. Super serves as Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital and the New York Eye and Ear Hospital, both in New York.

While Dr. Super’s practice may be based in the Manhattan, his reputation as an expert Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon extends to the entire world. Dr. Super has appeared on television programs such as Discovery Channel’s “Second Opinion with Dr. Oz”, in national and local newspapers, and in national and international news and health magazines.

Dr. Super is a distinguished speaker who lectures to prominent surgical organizations and universities in the United States, Europe, Asia, and Central America, including prestigious International Congresses in Rome and Monte Carlo. Throughout his career, Dr. Super has also authored many scientific publications on various aspects of reconstructive and aesthetic Orthognathic surgery.
